As a result of analysis of the census materials 17 economic activities have been defined and 218 more detailed economic activities indicated within them. The register of economic activities contains keys and names of economic activities. The Dictionary presents kinds of productions by economic activity based on the State classifier 009-96- Classification of Economic Activities (CEA), approved and put into force by the decree of the State Committee for Standardization of Ukraine № 441 of 22 October 1996. The Dictionary's keys coincide with three symbols of the General Industrial Classification of Economic Activities within European Communities (NACE Rev.1) and with two symbols of the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC Rev. 3) of the United Nations Organization. The systematic dictionary gives kinds of productions and types of enterprises, establishments and organizations corresponding to their forms of ownership. The alphabet presents kinds of production arranged in alphabet order by letters of first word and each name of economic activity has a key similar to that of the register.
