It indicated 95-97 % of the entire range of the genetic variability being related to the intrapopulation level, and only 3-5 % is accounted for by interpopulational constituent. Based on the data on allozyme variation phylogenetic links between Pinus L. species have been tested. It has been proved that there didn't occur any significant loss of genetic potential of the the most deserving as for their mass propagation Pinus pallasiana and Pinus sylvestris L. in the course of forming their artificial plantations in the Ukraine's steppe zone. There was revealed the effect of the gametic selection against one of alleles in heterozygous trees from the P. pallasiana introductional tree-stand. Primary selection of the most tolerant to air pollution P. sylvestris and P. pallasiana trees has been performed, their genotypic peculiarities, along with that of the Crimea plus trees clones have been determined. The trees with a stable high full seeds production have been singled out of P. pallasiana and P. sylvestris tree stands suitable for forming the regional seed fund banks. Both P. sylvestris and P. pallasiana can be used in monitoring control of the polluted environments, namely in industrial cities, due to their characteristics such as needles injury, their life-span, crown's defoliation level being indicative of the environmental state. It is necessary to consider the results of the population-and-genetic research when formulating the state and regional programs of selection improvement of Pinaceae Lindl. species. Conception of efficient forest-breeding of these species in the Ukraine's steppe areas is originated and their use for improvement of the unhealthy due to industrial pollution environment.
