Information × Registration Number 0202U006660, 0100U002383 , R & D reports Title Imporovement of process flow diagram of combined cycle unit and its efficiency optimization popup.stage_title Head Mazur A.I., Registration Date 02-12-2002 Organization The Institute of Engineering of Thermophysics of National academy of sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 Based on numerical analysis of power characteristics of combined cycle power unit with gas turbine drivers, equipped with dual pressure heat recovery steam boiler it is shown that in order to increase output and thermal efficiency of steam turbine subframe it is reasonable to burn supplementary fuel in heat recovery steam boiler, which provides high parameters of fresh steam (12-14 MPa, 525-5400C).If supplementary fuel consumption is equal 10-30% of gas turbine's fuel a supplementary fuel consumption efficiency could reach 46-63%. The highest thermal efficiency of gas turbine drivers is determined, upon which this type of combined scheme is reasonable if energy use is put into account. It is shown also the external influence of TGTU upon growth of full thermal efficiency of combined cycle power unit. In case when the temperature of inlet gases of steam recovery boiler is 600-7000C it is possible to use single pressure type of steam recovery boiler. Here the substantiations of draft output rational choice (optimization) of gas turbine unit in structure of combined cycle power plant and supplementary fuel consumption in steam recovery boiler in order to achieve steam turbine subframe's high factor of loading and low term of investment payback are given. Technical solution which allows to get substantial (by 14%) fuel gas economy at compressor stations and which provides effective usage of steam subframe in case of existing gas turbine unit replacement by engines of the new generation are proposed and proved.
