Experimental studies of the magnetohydrodynamic process were carried out, using a flux-cored wire with a core consisting of chromium and iron powders. High-sped filming fixed three phases of the process: drawing together of elektrodes, short oirouiting of elektrodes and arc discharge.The experiments conducted served as the basis for the development of the model of melting of the flux-cored wire and motion of the elektrode metal droplets, as well as for the investigation of the process of transfer of carbon to the deposited metal, mikrostructure of the cofting metal and dynamic of fusion of metal particles depending upon the graphitecontent.The praying technology was developed.
