Purpose of the work: To create a standard for the unite of absorbed x-ray dose and dose rate for uniform measurements in the institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Methods and equipment: information search, analysis of metrological and technical characteristics of the existing standards and means of measurement of absorbed x-ray dose and dose rate. Results: Analysis of the state of standard base of metrology provision for x-ray measurement in the units of absorbed dose and absorbed dose rate in Ukraine and in the world was done. technical and metrology characteristics of the standard were studied. Functional scheme of the standard was validated. technical task for creation of the standard and the program of metrology study of the standard was worked out, the standard was created, its metrology and technical characteristics were created.
