The principles of metallurgical aggregate working profile diagnostic system are theoretically substantiated. The use of research results allowed defining technological basis for application of ultrasonic control systems for forming of optimal profile of blast furnace working space, which allows decreasing of heat loss with cooling water for 12-15% and power inputs for pig iron smelting for 3-7%.
