The study is aimed at theoretical substantiation of additive choice for common and cellular gypsum concretes ensuring increased strength with due consideration of charge sign of components of gypsum hemihydrate-water system and ionic equilibrium computation. Such methods of study were used as thermodynamic, mineral particle separation in high voltage electric field and Hammett colored indicator absorption as well as standard techniques for gypsum concrete properties determination. Both traditional and unique instruments and equipment were used. Our theoretical result lies in substantiation of gypsum hemihydrate setting and hardening process which provides for reasonable selection of additives for setting time retardation and hardening time acceleration as well as foam- and gas-forming additives. Our practical result is the fact wet foam "dry mineralization" process being applied without foam destruction at mixture preparation. Some compositions and processes were developed for cellular structured gypsum concrete manufacture, patents pending. Our scientific novelty lies in substantiation of gypsum hemihydrate setting and hardening process regulation by directed variation of associated CaSO40aq concentration in gypsum rock pore electrolyte which meets the world best level of chemical science and binder technology. The effect of this work is the fact that the materials proposed and their manufacturing techniques consume not too much matter and power, are cheap and may be introduced to gypsum binder manufacture quickly and with no substantial resource expenses.
