Single quasicrystals Al-Pd-Mn were studied by indentation techniques. Computer simulation of quasicrystal structure and deformation was carried out. It is established that the deformation of quasicrystals occurs with deformation softening by a mechanism of step-like phase transformation, and the strength of Al-Fe-Cr alloys at 300 degC achieves 300 MPa.
