The surplus NO formation results in progressing decrease of ATP concentration, energy potential, oppression of activity of respiratory chain enzymes, uncoupling of mitochondrial oxidation and phosphorylation ADP (on 30 and 90 days of chronic nitrate intoxication). In dynamics of chronic sodium nitrate intoxication in salivary glands and testicles of white rats we observed the progressing augmentation of production of superoxide anion-radical by mitochondrial and microsomal electron-transport chains. The chronic intoxication with sodium nitrate results in development of dystrophical changes of spermatogenic epithelium and disturbances of microcirculation. The modelling of acute carrageenin inflammation in tissues salivary glands results in endogenic NO and its accumulation, that renders immediateinfluence on energy metabolism, decrease processes mitochondrial oxidation and phosphorylations in tissues of salivary glands. The purpose of hyperbaric oxygenation limits penetrating infringement of mitochondrial respiration, phosphorylation, limits accumulation of nitric oxide, prevents an essential activation of lipid peroxidation.
