Chromosome aberrations were studied with an anaphase method. Radiational and chemical contribution was determined on the base of analysis of cell- by-cell aberrations distribution. It has been shown, that in spermatocytes of Grubea clavata (port Pirey) chromosome aberrations were induced by chemical pollution. In the region of Karadag the level of chromosome mutagenesis in Gammarus olivii embryos cells does not exceed spontaneous one. Comparison of cytogenetic effects in juvenile Lycastopsis sp. and embryos of Melita palmata in the region with increased natural radiational background (Ikaria island) and in cells dividing in the way of paratomia Stylaria lacustris from Chernobyl zone has shown, that in the Chernobyl zone hydrobionts chromosome aberrations were conditioned to great extent by gamma and beta - ionizing radiation, while, on Ikaria island chromosome damages were possibly induced by chronical effect microaggregations of natural radionuclides atoms alpha-emitters and chemical toxicants. Assessments the contribution of radiation and chemical effects to of the total damage of hydrobionts natural populations may be used by environment protection departments.
