Avoiding disadvantages of the standard approach in description of excited states, new recursion formulae with the same simple form both for ground and excited states have been obtained. The application of found formulae for investigation of the high orders of perturbation series and improving expansions within the framework of the nonrelativistic Shrodinger equation and relativistic Klein-Gordon and Dirac equations has been carried.
