Calculations of echo-signals depending on inpedance properties of the object and mediums, relative location of sonar antenna, bottom surface and the object, and also on sounding wave length and transversal dimensions of the object were carried out. Obtained results are new and allow to estimate real possibilities of detection of the silted objects, which can be represented with cylindrical surfaces, and to define the properties of hydroacoustic equipment required for detection.
