Research method - statistical and economic analysis in turnover data dynamics. It is determined that turnover as a qualitative indicator should be replaced by the finished goods indicator and become a basis for the calculation of production value added in the system of national accounts. This information is useful both for home and foreign investors, for the estimation of political administrative measures. It is shown that a unit by economic activity or an enterprise may be a unit for which the turnover dynamics can be observed (i.e the turnover index calculated). Methods of calculation of the turnover index in industry based on monthly discrete and annual indicators of industrial enterprises' turnover as well as producer's price indices are suggested. The turnover index is calculated for national and regional levels. Comparative analysis of production and turnover dynamic series on the key branches and the industry as a whole, and preliminary experimental calculations of the turnover index have been performed. Forecast assumption as to the development of the subject of inquiry: To calculate the turnover index and provide qualitative estimation of future needs and possibilities in financing industrial enterprises, it is necessary to guarantee methodological unity of short-term and structural statistics and producer's price indices as well as the use of general economic classifications.
