Work aim - defining the signs of material defectiveness by means of electromagnetic field's mathematical modeling, development of the correspondent information technologies and experimental methods and their complex application for the models creation of the new automated control systems. Methods of investigation - mathematical modeling of electromagnetic fields, which is based on the solution of the direct and inverse diffraction problems; physical modeling of signal forming processes in the primary measuring transformers at the low-frequency and UHF diapasons. The inverse problem of electromagnetic wave scattering at open screens in dielectric environment has been formulated and investigated. A algorithm of determination of geometrical and electrical and physical parameters of layered structures by the reflection coefficient measured at the structure's surface has been modernized. An theory of solution of summatory equations of scalar diffraction problems for conic structures with edges has been constructed on a base of the "partial inversion" idea. The method of vector problems of electromagnetic waves diffraction on ideally conducting open cylinders with disc partition reduction to Wienner-Hopf equations has been developed. The new structures of eddy-current primary transformers and methods of selectiveness increasing of eddy-current systems of non-destructive testing of the layered conductive materials have been proposed by applying of the put-on eddy-current transformers with tangential excitation field.
