The technology is developed for the preparation of the chelate sorbent based on the domestic raw materials, which retains its selectivity in a wide pH range (5 to 15). The developed sorbent is shown to be efficient for the extraction of the non-ferrous metal ions from industrial galvanic waste waters, with the cleaning depth increase by 10 or more times (Kp = 104?105 cm3/g) as compared with the value Kp = 103 cm3/g characteristic for ion-exchange resins. The method for the regeneration of complex-forming sorbents is proposed relying on the decrease of the solution pH value to 2, with simultaneous utilisation of non-ferrous metals. The testing of the chelate sorbent was performed using the electrochemical industrial waste waters at the galvanic coverings production site of the "Kyivprylad" plant and Darnitsky tank-repairing plant in Kyiv.
