The 50mg/l concentration of the copper sulfate in culture medium leaded to increase of the copper ions in Chlorella vulgaris cells 10 fold. It has been shown that with repeated administration of the copper sulfate in culture medium Dunaliella viridis capable to adapt to high concentration of the copper sulfate.
