The purpose of the work is development of fundamental and applied researches for QWR of a submillimeter and infrared range with the purpose of making torch single-mode lasers and lasers ensuring shaping of given distribution of output intensity. Two methods of transverse mode selection of the combined wavequide resonator are proposed in work which are realized comparatively simply in practice. Wide-band SMM laser with optical pumping on a basis QWR with mode selector is designed and created. Propagation of IR pumping radiation in waveguide quasioptical resonator of SMM laser is studied. The conditions of self-imaging of input field distribution at excitation hollow-core dielectric waveguides by radiation beams in the form of the different order sombrero and super-Gaussian functions are given. The opportunity of radiation beam shaping with an output quasihomogeneous intensity profil in QWR with the amplitude spatial filter on one of mirrors with use of the polyharmonic waveguide and intracavity Fourier transformer is shown. Experimental model of the waveguide СО2-laser on the basis of the generalized confocal resonator with a nonuniform mirror and section of multimode circular hollow dielectric waveguide is designed and created. The investigation results can be used in designing and making wide-band monomode lasers of the submillimeter wave range and also the waveguide lasers with an output quasiuniform intensity profile of radiation.
