Goal of investigation is to obtain the information about physical laws of forming of time-domain, frequency, energy and polarisation characteristics of electromagnetic fields by regular and irregular inhomogeneities of waveguide structures and development of mathematical models, algorithms and software for calculation of the diffraction characteristics by using rigorous methods for solution of the electrodynamic problems. The techniques of investigations are the theoretical researches, computer analysis, and experiment. By means of induced magnetomotive forces method (IMMFM) the main properties of the radiation of electrically long longitudinal slots in the wall of the rectangular waveguide fiild with dielectric are investigated. A problem solution for curvilinear slot in thewall of the rectangular waveguide with dielectric has been obtained on the basis of results of boundary problem solution in a rigorous formulation. Electrically long longitudinal slots cut on the wide and narrow walls of the multimode rectangular waveguide with dielectric have been investigated. New improved basis functions have been suggested for the induced magnetomotive forces method. These functions help analyse the characteristics of electrically long longitudinal slots in the wide wall of the rectangular waveguide. These characteristics have been compared with calculation results obtained by other methods and the results of experiments. The problem of longitudinal slot excitation of the resonator loaded by longitudinal slots is solved by means of the IMMFM. Based on L.A. Weinstein theory the analytical expressions for phase radiation patterns of an open-ended circular waveguide have been derived. These analytical expressions have been obtained by meansof the poly-gamma function series representation. The problem of radiation of short electromagnetic pulse by finite length wire antenna was solved in time-domain area. The physical properties of pulse shape variation and influence of dipole length and space length of exitating pulse on wave processes are investigated.
