Aim of the work: elaboration of the theory fundamental foundations, construction of mathematical models and numerical investigations of electrodynamic parameters of the above mentioned slot radiators Method of investigations: properties of eigen waves and energetic parameters of the waveguide-slot radiators are studied on the base of mathematical physics methods, Maxwell equations, Lorenz lemma, Pointing theorem, methods of the theory of waveguide excitation with magnetic currents and the theory of waveguide-slot radiators, elaborated by Ya.N.Feld. Two kinds of orthogonality (mathematical and energetic ones) of eigen waves are considered for waveguides with a homogeneous dissipative dielectric filling and the layered one. It was shown that the mathematical orthogonality takes place in all cases and the energetic one isviolated at the presence of losses in the layered dielectric. The physical phenomenon were analysed for the non-orthogonal eigen waves. The numerical investigation of the power balance was carried out for the slot in a waveguide filled with a homogeneous dissipative dielectric, the energy losses in the slot region were analysed. It was shown that the higher modes excited by the slot essentially take part in the heating of dielectric The problems of energetic parameters definition were solved for the longitudinal and transversal slots in a hollow waveguide with non-ideal walls, in a waveguide with lossy dielectric layers parallel to its narrow and broad walls, and for the case when a transversal slot in a hollow waveguide is partially filled with a dissipative dielectric. In all these cases the numerical investigation of energetic parameters and resonance properties were carried out for the various geometrical sizes of slots, dielectric slabs, various permittivities and tangent delta. The energetic characteristics and directional properties of electrically long longitudinal slots in the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide were carried out as well. The results of investigations can be used for the elaboration of radiating devices and parts of feeder lines with accounting the real conditions of their using.
