The aim of investigation: creation of analysis, synthesis and product design methods for functional elements and wideband guiding systems in UHF and SHF bands with predicted electrodynamic characteristics. The several electrodynamical problems has been formulated and solved. These decisions allowed to construct the theory of bounded structures with periodical substructures; to develop the ray theory in diffraction problems; to formulate the conditions of small-size unreflecting screens designing. The developed mathematical tool is adequate to real physical models. The diffraction problems decisions of eigenwaves of circular waveguide and coaxial line by semi-infinite and bounded sequences of axial-symmetrical periodical discontinuities (in the form of irises and slots) have been received. The decisions of diffraction problem series by impedance strip and half plane havebeen constructed. The problem of radiation from linear source placed on cylindrical surface with arbitrary distribution of impedance is built. The problem of radiating planes excited by eigenwaves has been found. The series of complex experiments are carried out. They used modern measuring techniques based on automation platform and effective computer methods of data processing.
