Goal of investigations - designing and accurate definition of calculation methods, mathematical models and software for calculating the characteristics of linear, curvilinear, longitudinal regular and irregular slots and slot arrays. The technique of investigations - theoretical researches, computer analysis, experiment. Expressions of electromagnetic fields were obtained and energy and directional characteristics of curvilinear slots cut in wals of a rectangular waveguide were calculated. By the magnetic motive force method the energy characteristics of the radiator in form of two neighboured lohgitudinal slots situated on the wide walls of a rectangukar waveguide were investigated. The energy and directional characteristics of the electrically long longitudinal slots in wide and narrow walls ofthe one-mode and polymodal rectangular waveguides of slots. The energy characteristics of the inclined slot cut on all width of the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide were calculated. Analytical expressions of scattering matrix elements of the slot joints of rectangular waveguides were obtained. The electrodynamic characteristics of the transvere and longitudinal slots situated in the common wall of two one-mode waveguides of equal sizes were investigated. The problem of synthesis of plane curvilinear arrays was investigated by numerically. It is shown the offered technique is more effective in comparison with other known methods: gradient and variational ones. The travelling wave antenna arrays with two-channel excitation which provide stability of directional and energy characteristics in more wide frequency band than linear antennas were investigated. The results the work will be recommended for use in Institute for Scientifical Research of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine and in the scientifical -industrial organizations designing the radioelectronic systems of communication, monitoring environment, radar and TV systems for solving problems of increasing the antenna efficiency.
