The map of Ukraine and Kiev with localities where the moth was recorded, is prepared. The number of generations of the moth in Ukraine, is discovered. The peculiarities of biology and phenology of imago and preimaginal stages of the moth in Ukraine, are described. The active temperature sum for the beginning of the flight period of imago and the term of development of all generations of the moth, are calculated. The results of investigation (1 - the evaluation of the degree of colonisation of the horse chestnut trees by the leaf miner; 2 - the calculation of the number of adult insects of the 1st generation; 3- the evaluation of the degree of damage of the horse chestnut leaves; 4 - the evaluation of the caterpillar's instars based on shape and size of their mines; 5 - the difference in appearance between the leaves damaged by fungi and ones damaged by the moth's caterpillars ) are supposed to be used by the municipal services and utilities of Kiev City Council (i.e. "Kyivzelenbud") when providing monitoring and control of the pest in the city.
