Diffusion processes principles of coating formation under friction deformation in gas medium were established. The nitrided layers mechanical characteristics were determined by micromechanical testing. The established peculiarities of diffusion processes mechanism and kinetics, the elements concentration distribution, phase and structural transformations, relation between dislocation structure parameters and diffusion layers one's give an opportunity (possibility) to control structure by formation of disordered state of surface layer with the purpose of controlling and forecasting of physical-mechanical and service properties.
