The nature of the optical and magneto-optical properties and electronic structure of the Fe/Au MLF, the interface structure in Fe/Si MLF, the peculiarities of the solid-state reactions in Ni/Si and Co/Si MLF have been established. The influence of crystalline symmetry and lattice tensions on spin- and charge-ordering in compounds with colossal magnetoresistence was evaluated.
