In the manual mode an operator has next possibilities: turn polarizer and analyzer independently or synchronous; assign a necessary step of polarizer and analyzer turn; read an image from camera and send it on the display; control a modulator of intensity and light shutter. The transition in the automatic mode means a start on performing a program to realization an algorithm of polarization-optical measurements. In the automatic mode a program gives information on azimuthal position of polarizer and analyzer, azimuth and ellipticity of probe wave, step of the turn, performing operations, duration of procedure of measurements and size of free operative computer memory. The calibrating of polarimeter and test measurements of the distribution of the optical anisotropy parameters in nonuniform stressed sample of semiconductor glass As2Se3 were carried out.
