Proper mathematical models of these characteristics are developed. The experimental installation for measuring the coal quality was designed. The installation consists of the excitation driver, sensor which converts the mechanical waves into the electrical signal, control and computing unit, which controls the excitation modes, receives and analyses the signal, and registers the output information.
