Different interferometry schemes and known techniques of measuring the characteristics of millimeter waveband electromagnetic waves after transmission through air-water-steam media are investigated. A scheme of an experimental installation mockup for research problems in the given project has been selected and scientifically substantiated. The problem of measuring the thickness of the water film on a metal substrate by radio-wave contactless methods has been solved theoretically.The results of the work can be used in machine building and power engineering.
