Aim of work: to study the peculiarities of the effect of low intensity laser irradiation of different wavelengths on structural and functional characteristics of biological objects if compared to the effect of incoherent monochromatic irradiation, ultraviolet irradiation and extremely high frequency electromagnetic irradiation. Methods of study: radiophysical, biophysical, biochemical, physico-chemical, holography, mathematical. Biological effects of low intensity laser irradiation (power output below 40 mW) in red (632.8 nm), blue-green (476.5-514.5 nm) and submillimeter (70.5, 96.5, 118.8 mm) ranges as well as UV (260-340 nm) and extremely high frequency (8.6 mm) irradiations were studied. Effects of laser irradiation have different directions depending on type of biological object and duration of influence. The multiple valued contribution of coherence of electromagnetic irradiation in realization of one's biological effects was shown. The data on the effect of low intensity laser, UV and EHF radiation on physico-chemical properties of membranes of different biological objects as well as on the state of antioxidative homeostasis of cells from different tissues and microorganisms' metabolism intensity were obtained. This work significance is in the substantiation of ways of human body matter exchange correction with the help of electromagnetic irradiation and in development of biotechnological methods for controlled microorganisms growth.
