The aim of research: to develop new methods of diagnostics and treatment PTSD at different categories of people who were involved in extreme events, to determine main directions, approaches and techniques of correction as well as to create preventive measures which are directed on prevention of PTSD development. The criteria of diagnostics and differential diagnostics of various disorders of mental health at the participants of extreme events are developed. The major factors and conditions which make the influence on formation and current status of mental and behavioral disorders are found. There were developed new approaches of pharmacological and non-medicament treatment considering to clinical characteristics of disorders. There is developed a variant of a cognitive-behavioral therapy for persons with PTSD.
