Object of research in the basic group were 266 patients subjected to LCE, and out of which 21 of patients undergone EPST, in comparative group - 112 patients, operated by traditional surgical methods. During LCE failures, mistakes and complications were marked in 72 patients (27,1%), including intraoperative complications - in 11,2%, postoperative complications - in 31,4% of cases. In comparative group intraoperative complications were 4,5%, frequency of postoperative complications - 31,2%. EPST was successful in 57% of cases, unsuccessful - in 43%, with complications - in 33,3%. The conclusion is made, that specified laparoendoscopic methods of a gallstone disease treatment in elderly and senile age patients are preferable in comparison with traditional, but, despite of their positive estimations, they are not deprived of it dangers and complications.
