The informational - analytical block of a database is filled in by on-site results which have been carried out in cooling-pools of some TPP, TPC and NPP. The primary analytical information served inpute parameters for modeling. The simulating system was created for an assessment of hydrochemical systems physical- chemical status. It is based on the mathematical model of chemical balance in multicomponent heterogeneous systems with algorithm of the decision of an equilibrium task by a method of constants of balance. In a basis of computer simulating system the program MINTEQA2 was fixed. The model is completed with an extensive thermodynamic database of equilibrium constants for various complexes and contain more of 1000 various substances. Modern status of the dissolved components which restrain use of waters in power system is carried out in surface waters of Ukraine. The basic laws of their spatial distribution in territory of Ukraine and feature of conditions of formation are generalized. The content of humic substances in surface waters of Ukraine is investigated for the first time. The recommendations concerning a rating of the dissolved organic substances contents and their component composition are made. The basic conditions of formation of components being in carbonate- calcium equilibrium of water are appreciated on an example of Zaporizhzhe NPP cooling pool. Imitating modeling of main hydrochemical systems status in conditions of various thermal loading is carried out. The basic recommendations for the directed regulation of cooling pool water quality are developed to reduce the scaling in cooling systems of power units and increase of of their work efficiency.
