Aim of the work - development and improvement of water analysis methods with special attention to removal of contaminants interference. Methods of investigation - spectrophotometry, sorption, chemiluminescence, atomic absorption, stripping voltammetry, X-ray fluorescence, gas chromatography. Mixed polymer complexes of Hg(II) with iodide, hydroxide, nitride nitrogen, amide nitrogen of organic amines as well as poorly soluble ion associates of heteropoly complexes of phosphorus and silicon with surfactants have been discovered and examined. Processes of decomposition of coloured complexes of metals with 4-(pyridil-2-azo)resorcine under destroyers action and processes of complex formation of 1-(pyridil-2-azo)-naphtol in micellar media have been studied, nature of electrochemical reactions under voltammetric determination of Ag and Pb has been established. Sensitive and selective procedures of photometric determination in waters nitrate, ammonium nitrogen, manganese, Cu, Zn, Co, Ni, ethylenediamine, surfactants, chemiluminescence determination of P and Si, atomic absorption determination of Ba have been developed, procedures for Hg determination by cold vapour method and for chromatographic determination of total organic carbon have been improved.
