Methods of research - a sstatistical method - "the biographical questionare"- and an analytical method - the analysis of the information by making parts of scientific potential on dentistry and the basic directions of a dentistry inUkraine. Criteria of an estimation of scientific activity SRW were developed. Scientific potential of 32 dental faculties was investigated. It estsblished, that general amount of scientafic employees during the ywars of independans of Ukraine has grown on the aveerage 30%. The quantity of scientific publications that is connected to the edition of new profile dental magazines has grown. It was published 4011 scientific works from them 60 are monographies. 376 patients for invention and copyright certificates were received. More than 100 manuals were prepared, 119 MP and instructions, 1 opening was made. The analysis of quantity and subjects planned scientific works for 2002-2003 is carried out. It is established, that the amount planed scientafic works for last 2,5 years has grown almost in 3 times in comparison with the term from 1991 to 1999scientafic directions of development of dentistry on sections are designated and proved.
