Ukrainian elastomers were obtained due to using of the advanced technology; some modifying materials that comprise "know-how" components have been used. Physical and chemical properties of the modified elastomers, namely, elasticity, index of fluidity, density and adhesion to the metal were studied. Various parameters effecting the most important characteristics and behavior of the elastomers were identified. It was found, that when the materials are hermetically sealed, the rate of degradation process is very low that completely satisfies the requirements of the exploitation. Steam, water, organic solvents and diesel fuel accelerate degradation. Obtained data can be used as the base for the optimization of the process of assembling of the units as well as of the conditions of storing and transportation of the modified elastomers.
