Chlorophyll a is photosynthetically active pigment, which content in a suspension is an index of productivity of waters. The opportunity of an estimation of this parameter on the large spatial - temporal scales using satellite instrument is the unique tool for the decision of many ecological tasks in the Black Sea. At present work, the composite weekly maps of chlorophyll a concentration were been generated on standard grid (spatial resolution 9 km) for the period of 1998 through 2003 based on SeaWiFS measurements.
