Objective: improving of planning and employment of R&D results in the field of children and adolescent health care. Methods: scientometric (qualitative, quantitative and market study), medico-sociologic (express survey using questionnaires, interviewing and expert estimation). Theoretical and practical results and novelty :_scientometric analysis of the R&D reports made it possible to assess the scope, structure, subject matter and basic trends in the research in the field of children and adolescent health care. Participation of institutions of various subordination levels in the development of this field of medicine was defined. The leading institutions - designers ofcertain scientific trends were determined As the result of the questioning most significant medico-social issues were determined whose solution can be crucial for the state of health of growing generation. Objective and subjective factors influencing the choice of the field of research were revealed. Some propositions concerning information improvement of the research process at the stages of planning and employment of R&D results were worked out. Computer program "Search intellectual and bibliometric system of the R&D database control" was worked out, the system intended for carrying out retrospective, operative and prospective analysis of R&D products in the field of children and adolescents health care. Effectivity: the results obtained will contribute to optimization of research at the stage of planning, taking decisions and introducing the results into practice.
