It is established that approximately in 10% of CHF patients have the manifestation of cardiac cachexia syndrome, which was assessed by medical history data (body mass decrease of more than 7,5% in comparison with the previous value during 180 days), and the results of anthropometric examination (body mass index < 18 kg/m2). In the process of CHF progression left ventricular dilatation increased, as well as the degree of its systolic and diastolic dysfunction, and indices describing trophological status of patinets. The decrease of general heart rate variability and its parasympathetic component also decreased, which directly correlated with the severity of clinical and haemodynamic disturbances. The difference of this study form the known analoguesis the complex approach to the study of mechanisms of the cachexia syndrome in patients with CHF, based on the study of trophological status, systolic and diastolic myocardial functions and vegetative status.
