Methods of investigations included paired bicycle ergometry, 24-hours ECG monitoring. Blood lipid spectrum was assessed with enzymatic method. Intensity of peroxidation processes was evaluated by the level of TBA-active products, plasma levels of NO2 и NO3 (after the reduction to nitrite with the use of nitroreductase) - by Griss reaction; antioxidant status - by the level of reduced glutathione and activity of antioxidant enzymes ( glutathione peroxidase, supreoxide dismutase) in plasma and blood elements. It is shown that at the stable CHD course, hypercholesterolemia is an unfavourable factor in respect to NO synthesis, which can be determined by the negative correlation between nitrite and total cholesterol levels (r=-0,73, p<0,05). Administration of statins additionally to the basic therapy during 6-weeks of observations resulted in the destruction of relationship between nitriteand total cholesterol levels and appearance of new ones - between the nitrite and triglycerides (r=-0,54, p<0,05) or LPVLD (r=-0,54, p<0,05) levels against the background of the blood spectrum basic indices. At the period of observations of 12 weeks the significant increase of blood plasma nitrite level was revealed as well as the presence of positive correlation between the NO formation activity and peroxidation intensity (r=0,57, p<0,05).
