Ya., Registration Date 29-07-2004 Organization Institute of therapy of Academy of medical science of Ukraine popup.description2 78 patients with chronic hepatitis of viral В и С aetiology (CVH) with low degree of activity of hepatic tissue inflammatory activity - the main group, and 30 practically healthy subjects (control group) were investigated. Investigation methods: clinical and biochemical CVH diagnostics, echosonoscopy, morphological and morphometric study of liver biopsy materials, enzyme immunodetection of serum cytokines levels with proinflammatory and profibrogenic action, assessment of collagen-forming markers. During the study the interconnection of proinflammatory and profibrogenic cytokines with clinical CVH manifestations, hematological markers of inflammation, collagen-formation and morphological disturbances of liver tissue structure was revealed. New approaches to the pathogenetic therapy with account of cytokines system disturbances have been worked out. In patients with CVH, in whom the cytokines balance was shifted to the prevalence of proinflammatory cytokines, the agents were administered with predominantly anti-inflammatory, membrane-stabilizing and antioxidant activity - essentiale, tiotriazoline; in the case of increase of blood markers of collagen-formation and profibrogenic cytokines - preparations that slowdown the fibrosing processes - ursofalk, silimarin. The worked-out therapy enabled to improve the patients' state, to optimize the disease course and to prevent the progression of chronic hepatitis of viral aetiology with the low degree of inflammatory process.
