The quality of 60 prospective cultivars of winter wheat of IPPG NAS Ukraine breeding has been investigated. There have been studied the frost resistance of the Hungarian and Ukrainian cultivars and lines of winter wheat, as well as their resistance to diseases, vegetation period and productivity. The prospective cultivars of the Hungarian breeding for the conditions of Ukraine (MV 04-2000, MV 213-98, MV Malibo), which have a maximum positive properties have also been defined. Such winter wheat cultivars as Kolumbia, Smuglyanka and UK 93, developed at theInstitute of Plant Physiology and Genetics, NAS of Ukraine, are donors of the valuable features: productivity and resistance to the unfavorable conditions of the Hungarian environment.
