Complex research of epidemiology aspects of disability as a result of dystrophic diseases of retina and visual nerve, factors and terms of their forming, role of system vascular pathology in development of dystrophic diseases of eye bottom have been. Quality of medical-social examination and rehabilitation of patients and invalids with this pathology, modern facilities of diagnostics and medical treatment of these diseases is studied. Introduction was conducted at state level. Materials of the investigation are expounded in 2 monographs, 2 methodical recommendations, 12 articles, 37 theses, 27 lectures at international and republican conference, 1 invention, 6 rationalization recommendations. The results of the investigation have scientific, social, economic effect, because are directed on increasing of medical-social examination, diagnostics and medical-social rehabilitation, prophylaxis and decline of level of disability as a result of dystrophic diseases of retina and visual nerve in Ukraine.
