Gorky popup.description2 ABSTRACT Object of research are the patients with injuries of the lumbo-sacral spine. The purpose of work - to improve anatomic-functional and expert-labor outcomes of the treatment at traumatic injuries of the lumbo-sacral spine by theoretical development and a clinical substantiation of the technology and the external fixation device. Methods of research: clinical, radiological, a computer tomography, a magnetic-resonant tomography, electrophysiological methods, statistical processing. On the basis of mathematical model the external fixation device "Spine-Pelvis" was developed, Patent of Ukraine № 809, indications and contra-indications to application of the given device are determined, the algorithm for rendering medical aid by the patients with injuries of the lumbo-sacral spine is created. Newness: the possibility of the stabilization of injuries of the lumbo-sacral spine by the external fixation device is proved by the help of the mathematical model, the external fixation device and the algorithm of rendering assistance of this category of patients were created, and that has allowed activating patients since 2-4 days after operation developing, twice decreasing in-hospital treatment till 36,8 3 days, improving anatomic-functional outcomes - decreasing degree of physical inability. The offered method and recommendations were used in practical application on the traumatology and neurosurgery departments of Donetsk's traumatology center, Donetsk's SRI of the state medical university, Donetsk's clinical hospitals № 9, 14, 17, 24, Drugkovka's clinical hospital №2.
