Eighteen species of parasites belonging to 4 taxonomic groups were collected and identified. The detailed studies on the morphology and taxonomy of the mullet parasites allowed describing 3 new species, reducing to synonym 1 species and redescribing 2 species of monogenean. Univariate (indexes of diversity) and multivariate (Analysis of similarity) comparative analysis of parasite communities and self-organizing mapping of an Artificial Neural Networks are recommended as methods of indication of environment.
