As the result of this work, a modern Doppler radar with the operating frequency of 36 GHz has been created. The radar is capable for performing a high-accuracy, real-time measurements of profiles of the density, Doppler spectrum of particles, and polarization characteristics of atmospheric formations. The radar is designed for long-term, unattended operation. The radar control and data receiving is made possible via the Internet network. Several original developments have been introduced in the radar, including: a highly efficient magnetron transmitters, a novel system of coherent measurements, which enables for high accuracy measurements of the Doppler spectra by using noncoherent radiation of the transmitter, original algorithms of retrieval of characteristics of meteo formations.
