Chemical composition determines type of stress relaxation processes . Cold deformation was easy in alloys with well-developed intragrain substructure (i.e. Ті-15- 3, Beta-21S, TIMETAL-LCB). VT22 alloy did not show such substructure, and failure occurs after 30% deformation. Beta phase decomposition occurs at following heating, that hinders recrystallization processes. Conditions for elimination of decomposition and forming fine-grained structure were determined. Optimal aging regimes were determined. Grain growth at continuous heating and high temperature stability were studied. The opportunity to produce high-quality beta titanium alloys with powder metallurgy methods was studied using TIMETAL-LCB. Produced material manufactured with titanium hydride approach had properties comparable to alloy produced with traditional methods but significantly cheaper.
