The strong exchange coupling between REM and FM layers enhances the temperature of the ferromagnetic arrangement in REM layers and results in the giant magnetic moments of the investigated films at room temperatures. The oscillatory exchange interaction between Tb and Fe layers in the Tb/Au/Fe films causes the oscillation of the magnetic moment of the films at the variation of Au layer thickness. The optical and magneto-optical properties of the metal-insulator CoFe-Al2O3 and CoFe-HfO2 nanogranular films and their correlation with magnetotransport properties were investigated. The spectra of these properties have anomalies near the percolation threshold. The magneto-optical response of the films is greatly enhanced in the spectral region of the plasma frequency of CoFe nanogranules. The magnetorefractive effect of the CoFe-Al2O3 films arises under excitation of phonon modes in the dielectric Al2O3 matrix. The structure, magnetic, transport, magneto-transport and resonance properties of nanogranular metal-insulator layered [CoFe/Al2O3]N films with tunnel magnetoresistance were investigated. The character of this properties is specific for this composite structure and not existing in separate components. The most important physical feature is the observed possibility for appearance of ferromagnetic order in a structurally disordered system of dipolar coupled magnetic moments, which can be associated to a new kind of phase transition occurring in presence of long-ranged and frustrated interactions and reduced dimensionality.
