Methods of research - economic-mathematical modeling in problems of the analysis of shadow sector. Essence, structure and features of shadow economy are considered. The review of methods of account of parameters of shadow economy, including is given on the basis of methods of mathematical modeling. On the basis of the stated methods the accounts of volume of shadow economy in 1992-2002 years with use of various methods for the Kharkov region and Ukraine as a whole are realized. The comparative analysis of the received estimations is fulfilled. It is desirable to continue scientific research in the field of development of new methods of the analysis of shadow economy on the basis of mathematical modeling and creation of informational and analytical system on the basis of program realization of existing methods of an estimation of shadow economy.
