Original clasifications are proposed regarding the morphological elements and forms of the relief, morphological and genetic complexes of the relief, developed for the purposes of geomorphological cartographing (mapping) of dry land. The procedure has been decribed as to the contructing of geomorphological maps (G.M.Ms) of the photographing (imaging) scales. The significance of GMM has been revealed as the reference basis for geomorphological cartographing (mapping). Novel methodological approaches have been proposed to the formation of GMMs of large and medium scales as well as new techniques of organizing them. Particularly, while developingg GMMs of various scales ( 1: 100 000 - 1: 1000 000) it is proposed to combine the images of simple (sides and forms of relief) and complex (morfological and genetic complexes of forms) objects (sites) of mappingby using different systems of preconditional symbols. Typical legends of large-scale GMMs have been introduced as well as the suggestion concerning their applicability. The results of the research are recomended to be utilized for a renewal and supplement of methodological guide to the large-scale and medium-scale geomorfological cartographing of the territory of Ukraine.
