Incidence of hematologic malignancies in these two regions increased during the post Cornobyl period comparing with the preceding years. In Ivano-Fankivsk region female incidence increased during 1986-1990 and after that kept stable until another increase in 2001-2003. The highest level of male population morbidity of the same region was detected in 1986-1990 and 1901-1995 (20,22), while the decrease of this parameter was revealed for the last years (1996-2003). In Rivne region the situation looks more stable: after certain incidence increase right after the Chornobyl catastrophe all the population groups keep showing incidence growth, although a bit slower. We performed comparing of incidence and mortality parameters for some particular years. We detected decrease of mortality comparing with the incidence of acute leukemias, non Hodgkin lymphomas and Hodgkin disease for the last years, which shows the better efficiency of treatment of these diseases, apparently, due to the introduction of adequate modern chemotherapy programs. We analyzed efficiency of acute lymphocytic and myelogenous leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndrome treatment. There was revealed the difference between treatment results of acute and chronic myelogenous leukemia using different drugs and treatment schemes. Resulting from these data we elaborated the new acute myelogenous leukemia treatment protocol, treatment and cytogenetic monitoring algorithm for patients with chronic myelogenous leukemia. The recommendations concerning optimum treatment regimens for acute lymphocytic leukemia, aplastic anemia and myelodysplastic syndrome were given.
