The object of the research: the composition canons and their application in the educational process of Lviv National Academy of arts and in a creative practice. The research methods: the historical and art critic method of the research is the leading in this work. Besides it the method of systematic and comparative analysis is used. Recommendations the application of the research results: generalization of the material and formation of the precise canon system and compositions principles in the applied and decorative arts occurred on the base of the application research of the main principles and methods of composition in the educational and creative processes, systematization of scientific experience, course and creative works analysis and study of historical material. The final result of the work is a scientific research ofa composition as a scientific and practical problem, which gives opportunity to write text books, manuals and methods of new generation, rise professional and art competence of pedagogues. The results of the scientific research are approbated in the educational process of teaching the subject "the principles of a composition" in the first courses of the Lviv National Academy of arts, will be introduced in the educational process of art faculties of educational establishments of different levels of accreditation, they are used in creative work of professional artists and masters of applied and decorative art.
